Meet time 6:00am – 6:00pm (relay slots — 30min or 1 hour)
Location Cronulla RSL Bowling Green
Distance N/A — relay-style community run
About Hey team, we need your help.
A good friend of ours, and someone a few of you in this community would know, Lachlan Hess lost his sister Nicole to a rare form of bone cancer 6 years ago. Since then, he and his twin brother Justin have hosted a 12-hour charity walk each year to honour her memory and raise funds for the Love Your Sister Foundation, supporting precision cancer medicine and vital cancer research.
This year's walk takes place on 16 August, and as a community, they need our support.
We’re puting together a Strava Sharks relay team to keep moving for the full 12 hours — but instead of walking, we'll run, covering as many kilometres as we can together throughout the day.
The donation buy-in will be:
$15 for a 30-minute slot
$20 for a 1-hour slot
And here's the exciting part; however many kilometres we run as a team, Feros Group will donate $10 per kilometre. So if we can run 85km across the day, that's an $850 donation towards the cause.
We'd genuinely love as many people involved as possible.
To hear more about Lachlan's story, watch the video linked here. Let's get behind a great cause and show Lachlan and his family just how strong this community really is.
